Kirk Ball works for Wren Insurance Agency with offices located in Palm Bay and Viera, but don't let the name fool you. 

 

"It was 'Skip Wren Insurance' for 33 years. Skip started the agency in 1979 and he's my father-in-law. I've worked for him for 7 years and it's been a planned transition. My wife, Meghan, and I just purchased the agency in August," Ball said.

 

Ball received his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Southeastern University in Lakeland. He worked for a year at a financial services firm doing loans and life insurance. 

 

Skip built the Palm Bay location at 1430 Palm Bay Road, and 7 years ago the firm moved its central Brevard location from Merritt Island to 8255 N. Wickham Road, near the Brevard Zoo. 

 

"There's no change in operation. We have a Sales Associate, Serena Ray, who works at the Viera location. We have clients all over the county, and I'll go wherever I am needed," Ball said. 

 

"Carrying on the family business, in a sense, gives the firm stability," Ball said. "With the second generation of family ownership in place, the agency looks forward to serving the community for decades to come. We are here for you today, and we will be here for you tomorrow," he said. 

 

Ball was raised outside Chicago, and later lived in Champaign, Illinois, where the University of Illinois is located.
